Reduction in headcount is inevitable for many businesses coming out the other side of lockdown, for a number of different reasons, whether that is a downturn in work, or a realisation that work can be fulfilled much more efficiently by fewer staff. Whatever the reason, it is really important for you to make sure that you get the process right, as unfair dismissal claims would be a nightmare in this situation(!)
