One particularly unusual matter we assisted a client with was with an employee who had been away from work on long term sick with no contact with the business for over 3 years. We empowered the business to make contact with this employee and to rebuild the lines of communication with her. The business needed to audit their books and having this employee still employed was an anomaly. The process of rebuilding communication consistent of us assisting the business through a number of welfare meetings with that employee, instructing an occupational health expert to provide a useful and practical report. We then worked with the business and supported this employee back to work, in a different (less physical and part time) job role.
